Here are the respective winners of our “Four of a kind” Valentines event.

First Place – Arjay Macabia

Prize: 1000 E-points

Once upon a time, in the land of Dragonica, there lived a magical king, named Zu who had a beautiful daughter. Her name is Princess Steffy. She’s the most loveliest girl in town. Her hobby is archery. One day while playing with her bow and arrow, she accidentally missed her target and hit the tail of a sleeping dragon. The dragon was pissed so it rushed unto her and carried her away. There was total grief throughout Dragonica.

King Zu, announced that he would give the hand of his daughter and his kingdom to the man who could save her. Since then the king ordered all the brave men from different parts of Dragonica.

Out of the hundred men chosen, there was a warrior, named after the breath of dragon. His name is Pyro. All of the warriors were given a set of armor,a sword and a shield.

On his way, Pyro noticed a thin and hungry dragon with shades. He gave the dragon a piece of apple. The thin dragon then transformed into an joyful one. “Hi! What’s your name?” the dragon said. “I’m Pyro and im looking for a princess named Steffy . Have you seen her?” he replied. “Yes, she’s taken by the dragon up the hill.Oh by the way, I’m Puff ,the thief, oh i mean the magic dragon. Hehe.” he answered back, while exchanging his magical shades to Pyro’s shield. Poof! The dragon disappeared in an instant.

As he reached the hill,  he saw corpses on the ground and the princess yelling for help. The dragon then surprised him with his fiery breath. His speed saved him from the dragon’s breath but the fierce dragon keeps on attacking . Pyro thought of attacking the dragon till he noticed, his shield is gone. He found the shades of Puff in his pocket. Without hesitating he used the shades and attacked the dragon. The dragon counter-attacked with his flame breath but it didn’t affect Pyro. Pyro was surprised, he was not affected by the dragons attack. So with all his might he hacked and slash the dragon to death.

“Thank you!”  said Princess Steffy as she kissed Pyro. King Zu announced to all Dragonicans Pyro as the Dragon Slayer and as his daughter’s fiance. Pyro and Steffy got married. Steffy gave birth to four quadruplet babies. “Epic Win! It’s a Four of a Kind! LOL!” uttered Pyro.

Second Place – Elizabeth Diola

Prize: 600 E-points

“Weapon powder x50 is the highest bidder!” Wika ng trade merchant na si Daisy sa nagaganap na auction. Habang si Steffy ay tahimik na nakaupo sa isang tabi ng malaking bulwagan…pinanonood ang isa-isang pagkawala ng mga gamit ni Zu. Dalawang buwan ng nakalipas ng makulong si Elga, isa sa kanyang kasintahan ang namatay sa digmaan. Natigil siya sa pagninilay nang may tumapik sa kanyang balikat. Napatingala siya kay Puff.

Puff: “Mag-aalas dose na nang tanghali. Hindi kapa nag-aagahan. Baka gusto mong kumain muna”

Steffy: “P-pasensya  kana, Puff. Mauna na lang kayo ni Pyro. Hindi pa ako nagugutom.”

Puff: “Ano ka ba naman, Steffy? Nag-alala na kami sa—“

Pyro: “Pabayaan mo nalang sya. Kahit kelan matigas talaga ang kutete nyan. Tara na!”

Hanggang ngayon, masama parin ang loob ni Pyro kay Steffy ng dahil sa pangako na hindi tinupad. Naalala ni Steffy ang pinangako ni Pyro sa kanya.

10 years ago.

Steffy: Pag naging isang ganap na Acolyte ako, tutulungan ko ang kapwa kong kababayan dahil mahal ko sila!

Pyro: Isa naba ako dun?

Steffy: Oo naman noh! Syempre ikaw ang pinakaespisyal na tao sa buhay ko at hindi mawawala ang pagmamahal ko sayo, pangako yan!

Pyro: Ako naman, gusto ko maging malakas na Knight. Gusto ko, poprotektahan kita kahit buhay ko ang kapalit, pangako yan payatot.

Steffy: Hmp! Payatot ka dyan!

Pyro: Syempre. Mahal na mahal kita kahit payatot ka.

Ilang taon ng nakalipas, pinakilala ni Pyro ang mga kaibigan nya, si Zu at Puff. Pero hindi inaasahan ni Steffy na magkagusto sya ni Zu pero mas mahal nya si Pyro. Sinabi din ni Steffy kay Pyro ang nararamdaman nya.

Zu: “Mahal ko kaibigan mo, tol.”

Hindi umimik si Pyro. Mahal nya si Steffy hindi lang tinuring nya tong kapatid kundi maging isang kasintahan at asawa. Ayaw nya na maging malungkot ito kaya gumawa sya ng paraan para magkatuluyan silang dalawa kahit masakit.

Digmaan.

Zu: “Hindi ako manhid o tanga, tol. Alam kong mahal mo si Steffy. Nakikita ko sa mga mata mo kung gaano ka nasaktan ng umamin ako sa nararamdaman ko. Pero may sinabi si Steffy sakin tungkol sayo.”

Pyro: Ano yun?

Zu: Malalaman mo rin baling araw. Nararamdaman ko na hindi kami sa isa’t-isa. Pangako mo sakin, huwag kang mamatay ngayon. Tuparin nyo ang pinapangako nyo sa isa’t-isa.

Hindi parin maintindhan ni Pyro ang iniwang salita ni Zu.

Isang buwan ng nakalipas na hindi nya nakita si Pyro. Sabi ng kapitbahay, umalis na ito sa bayan at hindi na babalik. Nasaktan si Steffy dahil hindi ito nagpaalam sa kanya. Sinisi nya ang sarili kung bakit nagkaganon ang tunay nyang minamahal.

Pauwi na si Steffy sa kanyang bahay ng madatnan nya si Pyro. Kausap nya ang isang babae na kilalang archer sa kanilang bayan. Bigla na lang siyang nakaramdam ng kirot ng nakita nya na nagyakapan ang dalawa. Natigil lang siya nang lumingon si Pyro sa kanya. Tumakbo si Steffy pero hinabol sya ni Pyro. Ayaw niyang magpakita ng kahinaan ngunit hindi niya mapigilan ang pagkabalon ng masaganang luha sa kanyang mga mata kundi ay parang sasabog ang dibdib niya sa labis na sama ng loob.

Hiniwakan ni Pyro ang braso ni Steffy. At heto ang lalaking iniiyakan niya. Natatawa pa sa kanya!

“Wag moko pagtawanan, hambog ka!”

Sinugod siya ng yakap ni Pyro, “Pasensya ka na, Steffy. Hindi ikaw ang tinatawanan ko. Natawa ako kasi makati ang lalamunan ko. Naintindihan ko na ang sinabi ni Zu sakin.”

“Ang ibig mong sabihin—“

“Hindi nya sinabi sakin lahat pero naintindihan ko na. Lumayo ako para magpalamig ng konti. Ayoko mawala sakin ang espesyal na pagtitinginan natin. Bakit kasi di mo sinabi na gusto mo pala ako!”

“Nung umakyat ng ligaw si Zu, sinagot ko sya hindi sa mahal ko sya kundi gusto ko malaman ang reaksyon mo. At ang kapal mo, may kayakap kang iba kanina!” sabay kirot.

“Haha. Cute mo talaga. Wala naman talaga ako gusto dun eh. Kasintahan yun ni Puff. Nagpasalamat sakin kasi tinulungan ko sya na aminin ang naramdaman nya. Sabihin mo na ang gusto mong sabihin, pero ngayon..wala ka ng kawala sakin”

Gusto ni Steffy na murahin ang kanyang sarili. Kelangan nyang aminin na mahal nya si Pyro at handa syang magsimula ng panibagong buhay sa piling nito.

Third Place – Janbo Lim

Prize: 300 E-points

Pyro, a famous painter, was asked by the beautiful Steffy to do a portrait of her to be placed in her house. The two began their session with professionalism, but as the days went by and the portrait was slowly progressing, the both of them developed a certain silver-lining between them. On the last day of their painting session, Steffy brought her friend, Zu, to the studio. Zu has been in love with Steffy for years but never had the guts to tell her. As Steffy was posing for the painting, a bottle of acetone was accidentally spilled on her face, the effects were severe and that she was thought to go blind. Puff, Steffy’s sister was so devastated that she begged Zu to help her. The next day, Steffy was reported to have recovered from the operation, Steffy looked for Zu and wanted to thank him, but it wasn’t Zu who gave the eye, it was Pyro. Pyro knew that he can never be with Steffy since she was already with Zu that he was willing enough to give his sight to her.
